SAWDUST is a short-film documentary by HOME Storytellers that confronts tragedy with hope. Its cinematic aesthetics immerse you in a remote story that feels like a narrative film until you realize that it is a BOLD reality to millions. Jacques’ story proves that this reality can change for refugees through vocational training education.
Set in the Dzaleka Refugee Camp in Malawi, one of the poorest and unknown countries in the world, SAWDUST lifts up the voice of 42,000 underreported refugees. This film will shed light on and significantly increase resources for There Is Hope Malawi to grow and continue providing vocational training education so more refugees can become self-reliant and rebuild their existence.
