Refugees are promised new life overseas, in Europe, the USA, and Australia, but only under 1% are helped every year. Year by Year thousands more come in. Congolese, Burundians, and Rwandan Refugees are the ones topping this camp.
I had passed and registered in this camp back in 2008, left for south Africa. After several years of War in Congo. My mother had joined the camp with my siblings. Now I am back in the camp after returning home but this time not to join the long queues but to my mother's funeral.
This video is a piece of my experience in Dzaleka, the Malawian refugee camp, my experience in South Africa, and asylum being rejected and back to Congo. Yet again in Malawi for the worst that ever happened to me in this life: burying my Mother. May she rest in peace.
